Needless to say I didn't click. But it made me think... If Brad is too busy to monitor the forums all the time maybe he needs a deputy who can deal with this sort of nonsense. If so I nominate Martin! Martin's always here!

That's true, but there's other stuff a minion could do--like move new threads to appropriate areas (we've got some 'on writing' threads in the contest/quarters section), and make sure we all stay in line, etc.
They wouldn't have to do much, sure, but it might be nice to have a couple people who've got the power to support Brad.

As far as suggestions for moving things, not that Brad has really solicited such input, the convention stuff in Writing might be more appropriate to the Science Fiction and Fantasy thread, since I doubt much real writing gets done at cons.

Spammers, eh? We've not had their type around here since I put the new filter on the user signup.
Sounds like an actual, live person may have gotten on and forged an account.
