libraries and bookstores

Postby FictionMuse » Sat Oct 04, 2014 8:26 am

If I’m not at the library,
I’m at the bookstore.
If I’m not at the bookstore,
I’m at the library.
If I’m not at the library
or the bookstore,
I’m on my way
to the library or the bookstore.
If I’m not at the library
or the bookstore,
and if I’m not on my way
to the library or bookstore,
I’m on my way home
from the library or bookstore.

Man's basic needs are food, clothing, shelter, and libraries, and not necessarily in that order.

It is true there's more info on the internet but sometimes you need to get off your chair and mingle with humans.
Just saying.

I would argue that the internet is, in fact, a kind of library. One just has to pay more attention to the quality of information one receives.
If a person offend you, and you are in doubt as to whether it was intentional or not, do not resort to extreme measures; simply watch your chance and hit him with a brick. ~ Mark Twain

Into a Book

If I am into a book,
I'm not alone.
If I am otherwise
In private or public
Social spaces,
I'm alone, insecure, frightened --
Angry. Society is mean,
Ever jostling for pride of place.
Thank you,
For unconditional
Companionship, Book.

Books are good.
They've taken me to many places.
At times they bring peace to my worried mind.
