Been awhile since I posted anything here... I'm going to have to fix that.
In any case, I've found an article about writing women as characters (when one is a man) that I think bears mentioning. XD It's pretty solid stuff.

I strongly recommend wordnik.com if you need an online dictionary/thesaurus. Extremely thorough and I no longer use anything else.
