Picking a Pen Name

Postby Doug Dargel » Wed Apr 15, 2020 9:39 am

I've tried millions of times to come up with just one. I always tell myself this will be the one I stick with and I inevitably never ever settle on it. I can never come up with one I like and stick with. How do you pick a pen name and stick with it?

For you people that have settled on a pen name, how did you do it?

Also, is there a way to change your username?
I'm usually up for a critique and I encourage you to ask me in a PM.

I'm guessing the first rule is not to use your pen name for your user name?

Why have a pen name?

There are a few answers to that one. If your not sticking to a particular name, then your probably not choosing the right one to begin with.

Having one that is in harmony with the market and genre it's being used for may be a good idea. Think of it as a business tool and not a personal whimsy.
