Please help me pick a cover :)

Hi, all,

I need a cover for Flight of the Kikayon (see my sig. to read it) a sci-fi novelette that features a clone-related plot with a female MC who's a castaway on a water planet.

The mood is a combo of hard neurosci SF, action & adventure, and a certain literary feel.

Which of these do you like best and why?

I like "Contact" better. I think it better portrays the part of the story about being stranded on a island.

I think the stars on "Sector" can help give a sci-fi vibe, but the mountain-thing just looks odd to me.

I like the image of Contact better but the fonts on Sector better. Does that help? :)

I've pretty much decided to go with Contact, with some possibly tweakage involving the type.

Of the two, I think the one for "Contact Made" fits better.

However, I like the illustration in the Gazette more than I like either of those two.

I know it is go on write, but the URl makes it look like Goon Write to me!
Is it strange I look at those covers and want to write stories to go with them?

I have seriously considered doing this, since my cover-making skills are nil and I love writing to prompts.

I totally get wanting to write a story to match some of those covers! And yes, I think of it as Goon Write, too. :)
