Re: Quarter 3, vol. 29
Hey all! Been a while. I'm on the road right now, but real quick:
I got the call last night, too. Finalist!
Congrats and good luck to Jackie and Rebecca and everyone else landing in the finalist camp this quarter (and of course congrats also to those placing at or above where they'd hoped this time around)!
Alex.

Rejection. Kind of surprised, but then I'm horrible at judging my own work.
Congrats to everyone on the HMs, semis, and finalists!

This is the first time I've entered, so I'm a little overwhelmed right now...
AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Re: Quarter 3, vol. 29
Congratulations to all the finalists.
Rejection for me but it's already edited and out the door. No sweat at all.
I really, really can't wait to read Volume 29 to see all of you in it!

Re: Quarter 3, vol. 29
Rejection, kind of expected it for this one though, I think.
Re: Quarter 3, vol. 29
a not-unexpected rejection for a novel excerpt that just barely qualified as standalone. hey, you never know unless you enter, right?

Rejection.
For there is death in the sound of it, and a glamorous fatality, like silver pennons downrushing at sunset, or a dying fall of horns along the road to Ronceveaux.

Re: Quarter 3, vol. 29
Congratulations to everyone who did as well as or better than expected...heck, congratulations to everyone who entered instead of just dreaming about it. Working on building my digital portfolio (also for a MISM capstone project) as I await Q4 results...

Just a friendly reminder: These are results only threads. All congrats, commiserations, and discussions should be posted in the appropriate Jibber-Jabber thread. If you do not have a response to report, please do not post here.

Re: Quarter 3, vol. 29

I queried Joni and she said she's just getting to the paper subs now.
So, there may be another mini-flood.
Kinda like the current storm hitting the east coast after Sandy.

Rejected.

UPDATE: I found out today, I wasn't rejected. Per the certificate that came in the email today, and Joni's answer to my questions for confirmation of this strange turn of events, I got an HM!

Re: Quarter 3, vol. 29
I queried Joni, and she found a small pile of paper submissions she hadn't tied off yet.
HM for me, my first from Farland, for a story that KD has also HM'ed.
Mostly I'm just glad it had been read--I was starting to wonder.
