Re: Quarter 3, vol. 30
HM, except that I actually withdrew the story several weeks ago.
I'm happy with the HM. The story had a large-ish flaw in the 2nd half that I didn't realize until a week or so after I submitted it. I knew it wouldn't get me where I wanted to go this Q, so I withdrew it to perform surgery and send it elsewhere. :)

Rejected!!! This is libel! Slander! How dare they!!!
In any case... There was a glaring error that I edited into my final drafttrying to make the beginning stand out. Next quarter I have a resubmission that takes the advice of the DSF editors... So, watch out!!

I just spoke with Joni Labaqui and I'm a finalist!!!! In total shock. She is a wonderfully nice person.
I just discovered this forum a couple of days ago, so sorry I haven't said hi to you all before now.

My first HM... I'm kinda floored and kinda happy, because I liked it, but didn't know if others would.

Re: Quarter 3, vol. 30
Wheeee! Form R.
This is becoming something of a joke I fear, though at least it wasn't a surprise for this one, it was a Gator story, and no one seems to much like those.
Of course Gator is feeling a bit sulky all the same. It might be best to keep out of her way for today.

Rejection here too.
Re: Quarter 3, vol. 30
Semi-Finalist for me. This gives me the triple crown of critiques; I've had them from Algis Budrys and KD Wentworth, and now will have one from Dave Wolverton :) I'll need to write a post about their differing critiquing styles.
And, congrats to Michael W for his Finalist!
