Yay! Congrats, Emily. I've gotten to the go, no-go message three times, and each time it was ultimately no. So glad you got a yes! Can't wait to read it.

Big, huge congrats!

I've been waiting (im)patiently for the same thing from them and mine ended up being a no day before yesterday, but I'm thrilled that you got a yes! Please do let us know when it's published! I'd love the chance to read it.

Super-congrats, Emily! That's an awesome market. wotf010

DSF is both a place I would *love* to get into and where I have zero idea of what they are actually looking for. I've submitted 31 stories to them, with nary so much as a GN/BN.

My story was held for consideration by an anthology before ultimately getting rejected.

And it would have been my first pro publication too. Darn.

On to the next market. wotf024

I got my first personal, today--from F&SF, no less. It's a wonderfully bittersweet moment.

20 rejections a month is my standing goal. I've only made it once, but I usually get to 15. Keeps me submitting and drastically lowers the emotional impact of any one of them.

Well I'm pretty excited. Just got a personal rejection from F&SF, and it's my first personal outside of Writers of the Future! I know it's technically still a rejection, but it makes me feel like people are finally starting to take notice of my writing.
