Wyrm's Gauntlet writing contest

Postby s_c_baker » Sat Oct 03, 2015 9:07 am

I took part in this writing/reviewing contest last year and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Basically, there are four rounds, some of which involve writing a story, and others of which involve writing a review .

It's free to sign up, and there are cash prizes for anyone who makes it to the top three places. First round starts October 12th: http://wyrmsgauntlet.com/1st-challenge-announced-oct-12th/

My contest history: Semi-finalist, R, HM, R, R, HM, HM, R, R, R, R, HM, R, R, R, R, Winner
My published fiction, poetry, &c.

Bummer, Aaron!

I'm still in (as flintonlaubakersmith). Last year I got 3rd place, so I'm interested to see if I can best that this time around!

I have a pretty strong English Lit background, though, and the fiction writing rounds tend to trip me up way more than the review rounds do. Eurgh!

Hey, thanks! Round three is a lot of fun so far. My MA in English puts me in good standing when it comes to things like close reading. wotf007
