Mailing Lists - Good ones? Yours?

Postby Dustin Adams » Fri May 20, 2016 4:54 am

Lately I find myself staring self-publishing in the face. Like, literally. It's right there.
During my research, the thing I hear most often is, "Get a mailing list."

I understand many of us are just getting started, but with all the winners that visit, I figure there should be a place where we can "follow" them. Mailing lists help authors reach their audience, and helps the audience read authors.

That said: I don't have one. wotf005

But I've signed up for a few! Matt Dovey, Ken Liu... etc.

So if you have one - post the link.
If you belong to one (or more) tell us why, and... post the link(s)! wotf011

Anyone who has aspirations for a long term career should start a mailing list. Even if you don't have anything published yet. It's free on mailchimp until you have a certain number of followers. Then as you publish things, make sure your mailing list link is displayed somewhere.

Read a Kick from Dave that basically talked about Mailing lists.

You should have one he says.

I need one so I will have to start asking around for anyone to join it.
