Flame Tree seeking novels

Postby Ishmael » Fri Dec 02, 2016 7:10 am

So, since I'm on their mailing list I received this call.

Flame Tree are delighted to launch a new imprint: Flame Tree Press. As you will know, we have accepted short story submissions in the past for specific themed anthologies, but for this new imprint we will now be accepting novels – in the range of 60,000 to 120,000 words – in the realms of SF, fantasy, horror and crime fiction.

We'll be opening for a first round of submissions from 5th December 2016 to 15th January 2017. If you have a whole manuscript that you'd be interested in submitting, please do take a look at our submissions policy here for further information.

Although they turned down my latest couple of efforts, I have to say this outfit were thoroughly professional in their dealings with me in 2015. Sadly I have nothing of the desired length to send them, but if you do I'd encourage you to give them a try.

If I could get it revised in time, my latest-the Nano novel I had been writing throughout Nov and one they didn't list specifically but could included under SF the steampunk novel did for NaNo last year. It may not be saying much but I think and feel like last year's was my best work.
