Success!
Re: Success!
Ah, yeah, Laura. What Marina said! Nice story. It beat mine (which is second-rounding at another magazine by the way), and I see why. I enjoyed your story very much. Congrats.

Re: Success!
Oh!! Congrats on all the new success. Even Bob has had some success. It appears we're hitting our stride.
PS. I'm excited about Krystal's audio sale to Toasted Cake. I remember reading the story as a critique before it sold to Daily, so naturally I'm extremely happy that you've had more success with it. That was a great story and well written.

Re: Success!

Now, if I could just sell another--different--story, I'd be in business.

Re: Success!
I'm a little unclear on this, but did you sell a story to Fireside too, Jennifer?
I just got word this morning that I won the powerball. (Well, okay, I won $4. Literally, just the powerball number...
)
More seriously, and more excitingly for me, I also received word that my short story "Raising Words" is going to be included in the Japanese mythology themed issue of Penumbra. As some of you may know, I'm a bit of a Japanese culture junkie, so I'm particularly excited to be in that issue in particular.
(Speaking of Japanese culture junkie, I also had another recent haiku acceptance--this one to Frogpond, which is hard to get into according to my haikuist friends.)
So since the novelty hasn't quite worn off yet:

Way to go Stewart!!

As a fan of Japanese you might find a bit of WWII propaganda interesting. (Not true mind. I'm facinated by the myths and lies we tell about our enemies.) you can find it over at my blog.

Thanks, Bob. I'll take a look. There was wild stuff spread about on all sides during WWII, that's for sure.
