Thanks, Stewart. It surprised me too. I expected it to take months.

I've just returned a contract to Mike Resnick, who bought TOTALED, my Q3V30 story for Galaxy's Edge.

Oh, cool - congrats to you and George as well. I'm off to read your stuff!

For the sign, you can click on "View more smilies" on the right sidebar, then scroll down when the smilie window pops up. It's right under the beating a dead horse smilie. :)

Congratulations Jennifer and Tom!

And apologies for being unable to spell Kary. I couldn't even spell the title of my own novel, but AE were kind enough to correct it for me!

I think I'm guilty of this! I've mentioned it in other places, but appear to have missed this one.

My finalist story from Vol. 29 Q3 has been accepted by Fantasy Scroll Magazine (http://www.fantasyscrollmag.com/). It's a new market, and I don't have any information as to when it might appear, but I'm hugely excited to have found a home for the story.

Hooray, Rebecca! wotf010

I have a flash fiction piece up at Flash Fiction Online this month (which I think I mentioned when I made the sale): http://flashfictiononline.com/main/article/oubliette/

The image they chose for it is ... not what I'd expected, but the story is there nonetheless!

I'm very pleased to announce that my HM winning story has just been released in an anthology!
This is my first time in an anthology. Feels good!

Image
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JMPIHAO

The Future Embodied - An anthology of speculative stories exploring how science and technology might change our bodies and what it means to be human. Imagine what our ancestors a mere hundred years ago would have thought of the modern world. Think of the medical marvels we experience on a daily basis that would have seemed impossible. Recent medical advances have dramatically extended the human life-span to unthinkable lengths. Science has changed how we live in this world. Technology has allowed humanity to dramatically alter our environment, how we communicate, and how we experience life. Imagine now what our descendants might experience. What new trials or tribulations will the future of humanity suffer, or overcome? The final frontier won't be out in space but inside our own bodies. Experience the future as imagined via nineteen powerful voices envisioning what we might become. Including stories from: William F. Nolan, David Gerrold, Ree Soesbee, Jennifer Brozek, Katrina Nicholson, Nghi Vo, Jennifer R. Povey, Sarah Pinsker, Thomas Brennan, Miles Britton, Megan Lee Beals, Lauren C. Teffeau, Shane Robinson, John Skylar, Preston Dennett, Alexandra Grunberg, Wayne Helge, and Holly Schofield.
