Re: Success!
Congratulations, Stewart!
I'll also jump on the Abyss & Apex bandwagon, having just had a story accepted there as well. Mine is slated for April 2016, so I won't get to be TOC-mates with Stewart, though, which is a bummer.

Birch Baker was never an Indiana senator but may have been a policy for dealing with artisans boulangers during the French Revolution.
Congratulations to both regardless.
This may have been the A&A process that threw me out after a mere 189 days I guess. Since my latest effort is at a mere 64 I either have a nasty surprise or a long wait coming.

Today I enjoyed receipt of the Flame Tree anthology Chilling Ghost Short Stories. I have never before held a hardback containing my work. I feel like a proper author.
They arranged the stories by author alphabetically. There are classic authors as well as modern.
I'm between Nikolai Gogol and Washington Irving.

Not bad! Not bad at all...

Haven't received my hardcover of the SF volume yet, presumably due to shipping times on transpondial mailings.

Re: Success!
Thanks, folks, but I didn't actually do anything recently. Aaron deserves the claps; I'm just feeling rather pleased.

Stewart this is the kind of good-looking volume to leave lying around in prominent positions in the home / library etc. When people notice it we can remark in an offhand way 'Oh yes, I'm in that, you know.'
I forget whether it was Bear Bryant or Vince Lombardi who advised thus, 'When you get into the End Zone,
act like you’ve been there before." Whoever said it, it was good advice and still is.
I suspect the books are aimed at the gift market, nicely in time for Christmas.
