YM Pang wrote:The Razor's Edge will be released earlier than expected: June 15th. My story "Final Flight of the PhoenixWing" will be the last story in the anthology. Pre-orders here: https://squareup.com/market/zombies-need-brains-llc (For those outside the US, the anthology will be available through Amazon on the release date). If military SF/F about rebellion piques your interest, check it out!

This will be my first short story publication. It took 10 years and 200 rejections, but as they say: Never give up. Never surrender. :)

I know you've had many more pro sales since, Michelle--didn't realize this one is your first published. You will be eligible for a Campbell Award, I think you've got one year now, and you've got the wind backing you to earn it! If I were you, I'd really try to get a quick novella sized novel out there. Seems like someone besides me would recognize your potential to win this award!

Much success!

So, clarification on that publication:

Aphotic Realms: Dystopia, due out July 15th.

My story, “Perfecting Humanity”, makes an appearance. wotf024

I had two stories published at the beginning of this month: "This Isn't Better" in Galaxy's Edge, and "Peace in the Valley" in Factor Four Magazine. They were my second publications in both markets.

I am now officially pro-ed out from the contest. I have learned so much from being a part of this discussion board, and I'm sure I would not have developed so far as a writer without all of the knowledge, community, and critique from the awesome writers here, so thank you all so very much for everything. Wishing everybody all the best in your writing careers!

Totally excited for you, Rebecca! A little sad though too. Must be a bitter sweet feeling to be a pro writer and have to leave the contest at the same time. wotf014

The magazine I was selected for just popped if anyone is looking for some dystopian themed entertainment.
