I'm going to count this anyway.
A short experimental piece I composed for my writers group has just been published at an on-line 'for the love market.'
It's called "The Escape" and it has been published at http://www.Short-Story.me under the pen name Butch Claremont.
No money but it's out there now.

I just spoke to the coordinator for the Daphne du Maurier Awards for Mystery Suspense (remember that contest I was a finalist in a few months back?) Well, I took first place!! And the editor (Denise Zaza, with MIRA publishing--a division of Harlequin) who judged the manuscript would like to see the entire story for publishing consideration. Yes, I'm quite a bit excited over the news. I'm not at RWA Nationals so I had no idea over the announcement of the winners.

I'm behind on congrats too. Nice work you guys!

Oh and um I've had a sale: my short story How Cherry Coke Saved My Life to Nature's Futures.

It's my first pro publication and now I'm terrified I've started The Clock. Tick. Tick.

Happy to announce that I've sold another story. It will be appearing in Aurora Wolf Journal. It's my fourth official sale. Although no pro sales yet, I'm making progress. Yay!

A bit of dancing around the plush writing studio here at Chateau Cameron with a few small wins. I've sold six stories so far this year, none of them pro - but we're getting there.

The Year's Best Australian Fantasy and Horror (2012) recommended reading list was announced yesterday, and I'm thrilled to have one of my stories included.

Pretty happy indeed. Fingers crossed for the WotF win. ;)

I obviously don't visit this thread often enough.

Congrats to you all.

And Preston, I'm looking forward to the release of ASIM with both our stories in there.

Congratulations, Steve. 6 stories already, and the year is still young-ish. You definitely are well on your way. And yeah, I too am super-eager to see the next ASIM issue. Can't wait to read your story and see who else I have the honor of sharing pages with.
