Congrats guys.

Re: Success!
All you have to do is blink and you miss half a dozen successes. Well done to all. It does seem that the good practice promulgated around here has beneficial results. Onward and upward!

Re: Success!
Wow, I'm behind here.
Takes a deep breath . . . Congratulations to Krystal, Dawn, Preston, Steve, and Sarasvati!
I love all the successes!
I'll add my name into the mix as well. I've sold a story to Perihelion Science Fiction. This is my first sci-fi sale. The rest have all been fantasy. Also, as a lesson in not giving up, it sold on its 15th submission.

Re: Success!
I am pleased to announce that my story "Can You Spare a Dollar?" is now appearing in Volume 4, Issue 9 of Aurora Wolf. I'm super-excited!
Here's the link for those who'd like to take a peek: http://aurorawolf.com/2013/08/can-you-spare-a-dollar/
Honestly, this would not have happened without the fantastic support I've gotten from everyone on this forum.
Thanks guys!

Re: Success!
Congratulations, everybody! Lot of big milestones happening around here.
I gotta admit, I haven't been active on the forum at all since: a) I was gone to Seattle for six weeks, and b) all the new forum categories on the main page is rather jarring for me, having been around here since 2010--the sudden lack of familiarity feels a bit strange.
Oh, and I just made my fourth professional fiction sale: a media tie-in piece for Deorc's Dark Expanse MMO real-time strategy game. It's a space opera story called "Liquid State." Don't know yet whether it'll end up as an unlockable in-game award or a bit of game bible lore, but I'll be sure and let y'all know.

Not yet, because none of them have been to SFWA-qualifying markets. So I'm actually still very much in the clear.

Re: Success!
Been a while since I checked here! This thread has always been my happy place on the board. I'm so glad to see everyone continuing to make sales. We're going to rock the SF/F fiction market--next generation writers right here.
Re: Success!
I'm behind on congratulating all these successes. Great job everyone!

The anthology including my first published story is now available on Amazon. It's an anthology of pirate stories with speculative elements. Coolest part is, it also includes my fiance's first published story.
