Thanks for the humor to start my day on, here goes, you guessed it.
This is the thread that doesn't end
Yes it goes on and on my friend
Some people started joining in not knowing what it was
And we'll continue bringing it forever just because
Now you've done it. I'll be humming that all day long.

THE DAY OF THE HOKUM
They tell me that I’m out of date
Because my phone is second rate.
You're not on Facebook? How absurd!
And as for Tweeting? What, like birds?
Don’t got no Bluetooth? You're so slow!
Bet you ain't watched The Simpsons show?
I say a writer called Nate West
Created Homer Simpson. Yes?

Okay, my WotF batting average, long suspended for being too embarrassing, is hereby reinstated.
HM or better counts as a hit / every entry counts as an at bat
Finalists etc. who've hit home runs may compile RBI stats or whatever instead, but as a humble journeyman hack I'll just count hits!

I like it. For those with better than an HM:
HM=single
SHM=double
SF=triple
F=Home run
If you actually win, then it is a walk off home run.
From that you can compute your slugging percentage.
Right now both my batting average and my slugging percentage is a paltry 0.250.

This sounds suspiciously like math, so I'm just going to go ahead and say that my score is π/0.

I had an argument with my 6 year old daughter a few weeks ago about which was bigger, pi or infinity. She was convinced pi was bigger because its digits went on forever. Then she ended the argument with, "Blah blah blah, just divide it by zero."

I was only writing songs when this thread originated.
Songs are really only short stories after all.
Now I'm learning to write novels and loving every minute of it.

I wasn't really writing at that point, in the middle of an extended break, but I was doing a lot of DMing. So, storytelling. Which is close, at least.

If you are in difficulties with a book, try the element of surprise: attack it at an hour when it isn't expecting it. ~ H.G. Wells
