Re: Success!
Great news, Nick!
Did you get the Aliterate top 3% held email? I've heard nothing since I got that several days ago.

Hi Ishmael,
Yes I did. The gap between receiving that email and acceptance was around 6 days. Days to sale was around 105 (or something like that). Having said that, I don't know if the numbers necessarily mean anything. I don't know if the editors read things in a different order and there is also the fact that they are buying out two editions at once.

Congratufabulations to Jeremy (and yay for art! Art for stories is the best surprise), George AGAIN (killin' it, man), Preston (still not sold my HMs, so top stuff), Ishmael again (all those subs starting to work for you), Emily on becoming a PROPER REAL PUBLISHED AUTHOR, and Nick (picking up some momentum again!)
As for me... well, best wait till contract's signed, I suppose ;)

Congrats everyone. If I tried to list you all I'd miss someone.
I've hit quite a dry spell myself, but I have been getting a lot of later round looks, so I suppose that's something. Keep writing, keep submitting

Awesome! Must be a great story if Mike Redneck likes it! He killed it with his story in WOTF V30.

Re: Success!
Congrats, Rachelle and Nick!!!
Thanks, Nick, Matt and singer!
Thanks, klevang! Actually some are old and some are new, but more of them are accepted nowadays than they used to. Also, don't imagine that all of my stories are now accepted, that's still in the realm of dreams for me. It's just that my accepted/submitted ratio has risen from about 2% in past years to around 6% right now, Not something to shout about, but it's still three times higher than before.
Thanks, Nick, Matt and singer!

Congrats to you too George, you're going gangbusters atm! Did I understand you right that you've been sending of the same stories for a while and just happening to get them all accepted now? Or are these all new stories?

I loved how the main character, in the end, never actually did anything. Kind of like tying a slip knot and then pulling the string tight.

Re: Success!

This is my month for failing to notice I've been published. My story The Trial of Monsieur Lazare is now free on line in AE The Canadian Science Fiction Review.
If anybody spots that I've been unwittingly published anywhere else, please let me know!
I suspect I've simply become more than usually disorganised while away in Bordeaux.
