RIP Dr Pournelle

Postby MattDovey » Mon Sep 11, 2017 1:34 am

News broke over the weekend that Dr Jerry Pournelle, long time collaborator of Larry Niven and a WotF judge since (I believe) the very beginning, passed away in his sleep at age 84. Meeting him was certainly an experience, and I'm saddened that many of you will never have the chance now. There's few have had the impact on our field that he had.

Heart wrenching news. I'd be lying if I didn't say meeting him was a motivating factor for me. RIP and thanks for the stories.

I grew up reading his wonderful science fiction books. R.I.P.
I really don't know what my friend is talking about. This is in big trouble now. I gave him to read about types of insurance. I can't help him with this thing. It's up to him now.
