Questions About The Contest

Postby airi » Thu Jan 25, 2018 11:35 pm

Sorry if these are stupid questions! (I couldn't find an FAQ abt the contest on the website)

1. Is there a set theme or prompt for each quarter?

2. Is there a word minimum or maximum restriction?

3. Can you enter if you're under 18?

1. Nope. Just has to be speculative fiction.

2. No minimum, though flash length tends to be a harder sell. Maximum is 17,500 words i.e. novelette length.

3. I think so, but you would need an adult to accomany you on the trip if you win, I believe.

Just a note on word count, 17,000 is the max you may submit. And it's actual word processor count now, Dave weighed in on this change on my FB feed. You will see comments under the thread "Goodbye, Publisher's Word Count."

Cheers! And you still gave the best grand prize acceptance speech EVER, Matt!
