Question about professional authors' critiques
If you manage to have a famous established author in the SF&F genres critique your entry, does it in any way compromise your eligibility to enter the contest?

No. Some are in famous writing groups, and run their stories through a critique circle that has many award-winning authors. As long as they aren't writing it, you can get help from anyone. Except Dave, and the other judges. It is a blind contest, and if they critiqued your story, it would no longer be blind.
